Emissions of the dust of the Mount Etna volcano

24. 12. 2018, the Sicilian volcano Etna woke up. By comparing it to other eruptions, we estimate the emissaries of very fine dust (PM 2.5, PM 10) to 2.3 million. tonnes/day. By comparison, the average brown coal-fired power plant meeting the current emission limits with a power of 700-800 MW will release a similar amount of dust in about 100 years of full power operation. Note. We consider the amount of output gas 4.4488 mil m3/h, output concentration 15 mg/m3, 365 days/year of operation.
